Silver Trumpet Bowl with Marble Sphere Stem

Description

The bowl flares out wide and shallow, more trumpet than basin, and the entire surface is cut through in a dense floral vine pattern — hold it up to a window and light comes straight through the gaps between the scrollwork. A beaded rope edge runs around the rim, the one solid line on an otherwise perforated surface.

Below the bowl sits a polished black marble sphere, veined and cool to the touch compared to the metal above and below it — an unusual choice of material for a stem joint, and the reason this piece doesn't read as just another silver bowl. From there, the stem flutes downward into a stepped, square-footed base with small ball feet lifting the whole thing slightly off whatever surface it sits on.

The scale of it makes it better suited to a hallway console, a dining table centerpiece, or a spot where its size is meant to be noticed rather than tucked onto a shelf. As a piece built from three distinct materials and stages of work, quantities and sizing for institutional orders should be discussed ahead of a target date.
